Introductory Training for Childminders

This course has been designed to provide you with the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel as a home-based childminder, guiding young children through their crucial early years.

You’ll be working in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which sets standards for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to five years. Each module will include a mix of written content, practical activities, self-check questions, and case scenarios to help you apply what you learn in real-world situations. You will have the opportunity to reflect on your learning, complete tasks, and track your progress through interactive activities.

You’ll also receive guidance on observing children’s development, planning engaging activities, and maintaining a safe, stimulating environment in a home-based setting. The course is self-paced, allowing you to take the time you need to fully absorb each topic before moving on to the next.
